FAQ - MIDDLE SCHOOL

Get Informed

While the questions on this page are specifically for Middle School programs, parents will also want to review the previous FAQ page also.  Middle School student-athletes must turn in the same forms as the high school athletes turn in.  They also must be passing all of their classes in order to be eligible for any of the programs offered.

1.  WHAT GRADES ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE ON ANY OF THE MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAMS?

Students who are currently in the 6, 7, or 8th grades may participate once they have turned in all of the required forms.  This includes but is not limited to the Physical Form, Parent Consent Form, and the Concussion Form.  The physical form is valid for one year (365 days) and the parent consent form must be filled out for each sport, each year.

2.  HOW MANY DAYS PER WEEK DO MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAMS PRACTICE AND WHERE?

On average, most middle school teams practice 3-days per week.  Locations of practices will be announced prior to the beginning of each season.

3.  WHAT SPORTS ARE OFFERED?

Right now we are planning on participating in the following sports if there is enough interest:  basketball, cross country, flag football, soccer, and track & field.  We are also in the process of creating a golf club.

4.  ARE THESE SPORTS FOR BOYS OR GIRLS?

All middle school sports will have a boys team and a girls team as long as the number of participants allows.

5.  HOW WILL I FIND OUT THE TEAMS PRACTICE AND CONTEST SCHEDULE?

Each coach will share a practice and contest schedule with all of the parents.  A copy of the contest schedule will also be posted on this website under the "M.S. Schedules" tab.

6.  WHO DO I CONTACT IF I HAVE A CONCERN WITH A COACH?

We ask that you follow the "Chain of Command".  We would like for the parent to set up a meeting with the coach in order to discuss their concern.  We recommend that you wait 24 hours before you contact the coach to set up a meeting.  We do not want parents to confront a coach while they are at practice or competition.  The appropriate setting should be away from practice and private.
